Almost universal happening that we wouldn’t know was universal if not for the internet: dogs holler when they hear the Who’s “Who Are You,” theme song for my parents’ favorite and the world’s worst television show which features the highly objectionable David Caruso and his sunglasses. (Edit: reader Ryan points out that this is actually the theme song for the original flavor of the show, “CSI: Crime Scene Investigators,” not “CSI: Miami” as I implied. I will not retract my statement about David Caruso, however.)

Problem: That’s NOT the theme song to CSI: Miami. It’s the theme song to the original CSI: Crime Scene Investigation with William Peterson, Marg Helgenberger et al. CSI: Miami’s theme song is a different song by The Who, “Won’t Get Fooled Again”.
But, but, but, howling is a fun social activity for dogs, not an expression of displeasure. These dogs are getting all worked up, belting out “who the f*ck are you” with Roger Daltrey! Then they go back to ignoring the actual program, as any sensible mammal should.
